Ripon Hosts Province Meeting
Posted by: BillabongBoy on 02/26/2008 10:32 PM (Read: )
Our chapter welcomed representatives from every chapter in our province the weekend of February 15-17. It was the first time Ripon had hosted the fraternal celebration in over six years. We met and discussed the agenda of our chapters, province, and the general fraternity. We were honored to have our new grand praetor, Alan Levy, with us, and to celebrate the rituals that bond our brotherhood firmly together like no other.

BROTHERS PREPARE FOR SUMMER CAMP OUTING
Posted by: BillabongBoy on 07/02/2007 03:04 PM (Read: 244)
FRI, JULY 13- SUN, JULY 15.

Brothers of Epsilon Lambda eagerly await their third annual brotherhood retreat in the Miami of the Midwest- WISCONSIN DELLS!! The camp outing will again be held at River Bay Campground on CTH N just outside of Wisconsin Dells and located on the beautiful and majestically flowing Wisconsin River. After a death-defying tornadic storm the first year and a broken-down pontoon the second year, brothers are excited to see what adventure lies ahead of them for this year's gala. It will be another great opportunity for brothers to celebrate in the "off season" where homework, papers, and projects are not a concern.

EPSILON LAMBDA AWARDED NATIONALLY!!
Posted by: BillabongBoy on 06/07/2007 06:01 PM (Read: )
The Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Sigma Chi has been awarded the PETERSON AWARD for outstanding work in every facet as a Chapter. Criteria considered for the PETERSON AWARD includes: community service, philanthropy, on-campus leadership and involvement, a phenomenally-developmental pledge program, social functions, discipline, and fundraising. In 51 years, this is the FIRST time Epsilon Lambda has received the PETERSON AWARD.
The Chapter sincerely extends its deepest thanks to both our Faculty and Chapter Advisors and to its Brothers for the enormous amount of effort and energy put forth in the last two years which has initiated the reception of this award. The application for the PETERSON AWARD is a nine-month process involving the compilation of an application portfolio. An extra note of appreciation is extended to Awards Chairmen, Brothers, Elliot First (Alumnus Brother '07) and Kevin McGuire (Pledge Class '06) for developing the portfolio and submitting it in a timely manner.

WELL DONE, BROTHERS OF EPSILON LAMBDA CHAPTER!! THE HARD WORK AND DEDICATION HAS BEEN WELL WORTH IT!!

Brothers of the Month

Gustafson, Konecny, and Hentz
Brothers Gustafson and Konecny rushed Brother Ben Sweeney to the hospital during the summer brotherhood retreat where his heart was stopped and restarted in a risky medical procedure. True friendship and support indeed.
Consul Hentz is also deserving of notice for his great efforts in planning and coordinating the Brotherhood Camp Outing to River Bay in Wisconsin Dells, WI. A great time had by all!!
